Ingredients:
- 1 well marbled strip steak
- 2 tbsp mixed whole peppercorns (black, white, green & red)
- 1 tsp whole all-spice
- salt, dash
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp minced shallots or onion
- 2 tbsp red wine
- 1/2 cup beef stock
- 1 tbsp butter
Directions:
Crush peppercorns, all-spice, and salt in a mortar and pestle. Rub over steak.
Heat oil and butter together in frying pan. Add steak and cook to desired doneness.
Remove steak from pan. De-glaze the pan with the shallots, wine, and stock. Simmer until sauce reduces by half. Add butter.
