Ingredients:
medium sized apples (MacIntosh*) | 4 |
Bartlett** pears | 2 |
cinnamon | 1 tbsp. |
vanilla | 1/2 tsp. |
whipping cream | 1/2 cup |
cinnamon | 1/4 tsp. |
brown sugar | 1 tsp. or to taste |
Directions:
Applesauce:
Peel and core apples and pears. Roughly chop apples and pears into a medium sized pot. Add some water, and simmer until apples are tender. Drain the water.
Add first amount of cinnamon. Using whatever appliance is convenient (I like to use a hand or immersion blender), puree until smooth.
Cinnamon Whipped Cream:
Put the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Use a hand mixer or whisk to beat the cream until stiff.
Spoon whipped cream over the applesauce. Serve warm or cold.
Makes four servings.
*Use your favourite apple variety.
**Same goes for the pears. Just use your favourite.
I really like your recipe. Very simple. I will give it a try! The picture is not posted . Much better to have it for me to see the appearance of the food! But its okay I will then try this!
Thanks Darlene,
You’re right. I really need to get photos posted for all of the recipes.
Your menu is just perfect this hot summer!
Thank’s Julia.
